Hey friends! I had to stop in and celebrate three years of blogging! BeFancyAnyway is three years old! Happy Blogiversary BeFancyAnway! It’s been three years since I hit publish on my first post! Can you believe it’s been three years? Each year has brought some type of emotion to see this blogging adventure come alive in three years. So much has taken place since then, and there is a lot more to accomplish. As I write this post, I’m reflecting on three years of blogging.
Blogging isn’t for the faint at heart. Blogging can be fun and exciting. It takes planning, preparation, and confidence to bring those posts to life. I’m not a full-time blogger, and I applaud the bloggers who achieve this milestone with ease. Lately, the focus on writing blog posts has been on the back burner. Life, work, and other commitments haven’t given me the time I want to write a blog post twice a week.
Reflecting On Showing Up and Getting Started on Blogging
When I decided to start this blog three years ago, I was so excited and fired up to write posts, and all the content I wanted to write about seemed overwhelming. If I look back over the last year and compare the number of posts or the research, I had to do. The last two years were a test to push my endurance and knowledge.
I didn’t understand anything about SEO, and I’m still learning. With all the plug-ins WordPress offers, who will host my website? How do I structure my posts? All these questions and to-do check offs to have the perfect post. I must not forget about analytics. I have to keep up with who visits my page. What plug-in do I get for that data? After researching all this, I almost said forget it. I still have more to learn to grow my blog. Even when I don’t know what I’m doing, I must show up and give it all I have.
Goals and Vision for My Blog
When I first started thinking about a blog, it was sometime during 2019 after taking several trips that year. I’ve shared this before, but I wanted to create a travel blog. I love to travel; I’ve been to some amazing places. We faced COVID-19 in 2020, so that thought changed to my blog, BeFancyAnyway. BeFanncyAnyway is a fashion + lifestyle blog offering inspiration to the everyday woman—especially the woman over 40 years old. Now is the time to get that website up and that very first blog post published.
The vision is to share all things fashion, travel, beauty, health, and inspiration. This blog is to be a source for women to come here and read about a topic that may inspire them or get the rundown on the latest fall finds! Your first or maybe second thought, lol. It would be to go check out what BeFancyAnyway is posting this month. The overall lifestyle that keeps on giving. As we go into the new year. I have a few goals I would like to accomplish before year-end and the start of 2024.
- Publish 4 or 6 blog posts before year-end.
- Start planning my 1st Qtr—blog topics with your help on what you want to read.
- Increase the number of posts a week.

3 Things I Enjoy About Blogging
- Blogging has allowed me to share a slice of creativity in this fashion and lifestyle space. I never want this to feel like I’m writing a paper, although it does require some research on certain topics.
- Being expressive and creating posts that will inspire and motivate a reader to act on your suggestions or tips on how to find your personal style.
- With each post published, I see the growth and potential. The real reflecting on the three years of blogging is not giving up, and continuing to show up if I only publish one blog post or ten posts.
What’s next? To continue to do what I enjoy and bring a sense of happiness and joy to my corner of the internet.
Thank you for supporting this blog and reading all the posts! I would love to read your comments and feedback on the site and posts! Please let me know what you want to see more of in the next few months. Don’t forget to share and subscribe to my email list.
Oh, Happy Halloween!!
Xx,
Bernika
