Hello friends! It’s been a few months since I’ve written a blog post. I haven’t forgotten about you. It’s been a summer like no other. Since Covid-19 and the new Delta variant have taken over our lives, our summers have looked different. Trips, adventures, and day-to-day interactions with others have drastically changed. When we think of summer we think of more time spent on patios, cool beverages, and long summer days. Well my friends those days will only be a beachy memory. The words summer lovers dread to hear… Summer has ended.
SUMMER IS OVER
Creating a new normal would be an understatement for how I’ve spent my summer over the past few months. As the dog days of summer have ended, I will say I did enjoy my summer to the fullest. I tried to capture as many memories as I could to hold onto until next year. As we prepare to move into the Fall season, now that summer has ended, what are we to do?
WHAT DID YOU DO FOR SUMMER?
You may be asking, so what did you do over the summer? I took a solo trip to Miami, spent time with family, and just enjoyed going out to dinner with friends. Sounds pretty simple and it was all that I could ask for during this time.
My favorite summer memory would have to be the solo trip I took to Miami. A birthday gift to myself. I missed traveling all 2020 and this was a much-needed break. I’ve been patiently waiting to hear we will be landing in 10 minutes! I was hesitant to go by myself, but the thought of passing up a relaxing beach day lounging in a beach chair with a cocktail quickly ended. It was fun in the sun, beach days, and all I could eat along Ocean Drive. I dined at ComoComoMiami in Moxy South Beach, enjoyed a cocktail on Serena Rooftop, and took the trolley down to Lincoln Road Mall. I took it all in a few days and loved every moment of it. Even though my favorite season has ended, what I am looking forward to for the Fall? Stay tuned for my next blog post. Let me know what you’re looking forward to this Fall.
